Edward Razim Obituary

Edward Anton Razim, 82, died in LaGrange Park on June 4 following an extended illness. He was greatly loved and will be missed by both his family and his many friends. Dr. Razim was born in Berwyn on August 4, 1928 to Edward A. and Ann P. Razim and was a lifelong resident of the western suburbs. A graduate of both Northwestern University and Northwestern Medical School in Evanston, he served for three years in the United States Air Force prior to establishing Suburban Otolaryngology in Berwyn in 1958, where he practiced medicine until his retirement in 1997. Dr. Razim was on the staff at Mac Neal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn, Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago, and was a member and former president of the Chicago Laryngological and Otological Society. Dr. Razim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary (Chertie) Nesbit Razim; his children Mary Anne Razim-FitzSimons (John), Sarah Razim McDonough, Nancy Anne Razim, Edward Anton Razim, III (The Rev. Genevieve); and eight grandchildren. A private memorial service has been held in LaGrange Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children and Plymouth Place Foundation.

So sorry to hear about Dr. Razim at this late time. I was a patient and friend, think of him often and how he loved scuba many years ago.
