Edward Peska Obituary

Edward R. Peska, born October 12, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois left this world on September 5, 2012. He was a long-time resident of Downers Grove and Westmont. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Heberling) Peska; his son Daniel Peska; two daughters, Janice Benesh and Deborah Keiser, along with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. For many years he was the owner of Peska Heating and Cooling whose offices were in Downers Grove, and he developed several properties including Oakhurst Shopping Center in Elmhurst. His family also purchased and rehabbed many houses in Downers Grove including the home that is now the Downers Grove Historical Society. Memorial Visitation was held Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Toon Funeral Home in Downers Grove with a Memorial Service at 3:00pm.
