Edna Carlson Obituary

Edna Reimers CARLSON Born April 8, 1926, in Staten Island, NY, passed away in Seattle on October 10, 2011. Beloved wife, Mother and Grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband, Tom Carlson and her older sister, Dorothy Davidson. Edna is survived by 3 sons, Thomas H. Carlson of Port Orchard, Robert W. Carlson (Deborah) of Richmond, VA, and Gary E. Carlson (Susan) of Seattle. Edna is also survived by her sister, Madeline Shoffner (Duane) of Bakersfield, California, and 6 grandsons, Wayne, Patrick and Mark Carlson, and Brian, Jeffrey and Matthew Carlson, and six nieces and nephews. Edna was devoted to her family and was happily married for almost 55 years. Tom and Edna moved to Seattle from Bridgewater, NJ in 1984 to be closer to her sons. She was a Deacon at Magnolia Presbyterian Church, where she will have a celebration of her life on Tuesday, October 18th at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Magnolia Presbyterian Church, 3051 28th Ave West, Seattle, WA 98199 in support of charities projects.
