To the Goode family,
It is so difficult to find the words that can express our sadness in hearing of Earls passing. He was a great husband, father, and friend. He introduced Bonnie and I to the Knights of Columbus, where we shared so many wonderful memories. We loved him and will miss him. Our thoughts are with the entire family at this most difficult time.

Rachel & Family,
Just wanted to add our sorrow at Earl's passing. Growing up on Gilbert Road was fun. Your family was closer to us than our own relatives. You and Earl were so very generous with the five of us kids and always made us feel welcome and important. Your children were like brothers & sisters to us. Teri & Elaine and I are the only Smiths left, and we were talking about how many happy memories we have that include you and Earl, Gary, Ronnie, Dougie, and Cheri. You were such good friends to our mom & dad.
We're sending our love your way.

The Goode family opened their home to many. I will be forever grateful for the love and charity they bestowed upon the little street urchin I once was. My two beautiful daughters are happy and successful because I learned how to raise them by the Grace of God and the example Earl and Rachel Goode set before me. They were tender towards each other and those around them. I became friends with Cheri (their only daughter) in the 7th grade and I remember their home, including the refrigerator, was open to the Maloney football team and their friends and how Mr. and Mrs. Goode were always present with a kind remark or advice.
Never an idle man, he personally remodeled their home bit by bit and included a built-in vaccuum for Mrs. Goode before they were fashionable.
He will always be the epitome of a true family man to me.
