Dear Peters family,
I just wanted to send my condolences and to let you know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Having grown up next to Pete and Rosie we had the honor to know your family well. And although Pete was a man of few words when he spoke we all listened. His tennis can cannons and infamous pool table games were always a source of great entertainment for the neighborhood. His generosity with providing the neighbor kids with a football field next door will never be forgotten!
I'm sure Mr. Peters is rooting on his beloved Buckeyes in heaven!

Rosie,
I am so sorry I am out of the country and won't be at Pete's funeral today. I will visit the cathedral here during his funeral Mass. He was a good man, you a good woman and you've had a good life. I shall see you when I return. I wish you and your children the very best from the Risen Lord who is our hope and life. May Pete rest in eternal peace.
