Born: September 21, 1932; in Chicago, IL

Died: December 19, 2020; in Naperville, IL

Dorothy M. Todd (nee Berry), age 88, a resident of Sunrise Naperville North for three years, former longtime resident of Downers Grove, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Sunrise Naperville North with her three children beside her. She was born September 21, 1932 in Chicago, IL.

Beloved wife of the late Richard M. Todd, whom she married on April 17, 1954 and who preceded her in death on January 1, 2004, loving mother of Sharon (the late Wayne) Koltis of Woodridge, IL, Richard (Sue) Todd of Downers Grove, IL and Nancy (Bob) Shuman of Naperville, adored grandmother of Todd (Liz) Koltis and Laura (Michael) Adamec; Richard Todd (Amie Byrne), Amy (Justin) Vano and Julie (Jason) Mesmer; Bill (Kristin) Shuman, Tom (Amanda) Shuman and Allison Shuman, cherished great-grandmother of Charlie and Emily Koltis; Leighton and Theo Adamec; Maggie and Penny Todd; Aidan, Kaylee and Logan Vano; Lillian Mesmer; Brayden and Myles Shuman; Brooklyn Shuman, devoted daughter of the late Robert I. and Pearl L. (nee Alberts) Berry, dear sister of the late Robert (Jeanne) Berry and the late Jean (the late Mel) Forbis, fond aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.

Dorothy grew up on Chicago's South Side, was a graduate of Calumet High School and attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN. A loving and devoted homemaker, Dorothy also worked as a secretary for McDonald's Corporation in Oak Brook, IL. She enjoyed her family, boating, bowling, and golfing.

A private visitation and celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. The celebration of life will be live-streamed Wednesday, 11:00 AM. Please go to www.friedrich-jones.com and click on Dorothy's obituary.

A private interment will follow at Bronswood Cemetery, Oakbrook, IL.
