Dorothy J. Staskey
Dorothy J. Staskey-McHenry, age 73, of Massillon, passed away Tuesday evening in Massillon Community Hospital following a brief illness. Born Sept. 11, 1933 in Martins Ferry, OH. A member of Canton Baptist Temple. She was the Group Activities Coordinator for Metropolitan Homes of Massillon. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clara Smith McHenry; husband, Stanley A. Staskey, July 21, 1989; a brother, James McHenry. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Michele Eva and Keith Neading; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald I. and Deborah McHenry, all of Canton; two grandsons, Mark Anthony Stock and Aaron Nichols; two granddaughters, Danielle Skeen, Nicole Nichols; one great-granddaughter, Skylar Nichols; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Eva and Bill Holt of Navarre, Mary Jane McHenry, Ethel and Terry Miller, Peggy and Harry Sweinhart, all of Canton, Sharon and Carl Marks of Richville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bill McHenry of Canton, Richard and Brenda McHenry of Akron; many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Dorothy was a loving mother to many. Services will Saturday at 11 a.m. in Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help defray expenses.
