Dorothy Marie Shay, nee Putrim. Passed away on Feb. 6, 2017.
Devoted wife of the late Joseph Shay. Loving mother of late Jeannie(Jeff) Falk, Janet(Mark) Sison, Joey (Vera) Joni (Bernie) Sherlock, Judy (Mike) Egeland and Jackie(Anna). Dorothy was a cherished grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 6. Beloved sister of Dolores (late Dan) Roback and Paul(Madeline) Putrim. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation, Thursday 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Odilo Church, 2244 S. East Ave., Berwyn. Committal services are private.
Dorothy cherished her family, her laugh and smile will be remembered by all who were touched by her. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Offerings in Dorothy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Please accept our deepest sympathies at this difficult time. May good memories of your Mom and knowing she is in Heaven with our Dear Lord and with your Dad and Sister comfort you. I will always cherish my memories of your Mom and our life long friendship as we went to St. Anthony's and St. Casimir's HS together and remained lifelong friends.
