Dorothy Pfister Obituary
Dorothy Carol Pfister, nee Rose, age 82, of Laguna Woods, California, formerly of DeKalb, Elmhurst and Chicago; beloved wife of George Pfister; loving mother of Daniel (Aimee), Catherine (J. Timothy Wootton), Jeffrey (Stacy) and Christopher Pfister; proud grandmother of J. Benjamin Wootton, Charlotte Pfister, Grace Anne Pfister, Anna Wootton and Liv Marie Pfister; dear sister of Donald and Charles Rose, Jean Lynch, Carol Marshall and the late Larry Rose; cherished daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Rose.
Dorothy attended St. Maurice Elementary and Kelly High Schools in Chicago, and earned an AA at Kishwaukee Community College. Dorothy was a 38-year resident of DeKalb, where she raised her family, served in special education in the DeKalb schools, and worked in real estate at Coldwell-Banker.
She was a parishioner at St Mary's Church in DeKalb, and had a legacy of generosity and kindness that is remembered by those in her family and in the DeKalb community.

I was saddened to read of Dorothy's passing. I knew her because she lived across the street from a former friend. She was one of the kindest, sweetest person one could hope to meet, with always a smile on her face. May the happy memories replace the sad ones and may they bring a smile to her loved ones. Rest in peace, Dorothy.
