She was a long lost cousin of mine. As a youngster, used to visit frequently when then lived in Chicago as well as in the suburb. I remember my uncle Bill and aunt Margaret as well.

My father & I would visit my aunt, Dorothy's room mate, every monday and bring a little cheer and songs. sometimes candies, sodas, cookies even SLIDERS . In her final days , she was a chipper soul who laught and sang . Truely a spot was awaiting for her in heaven

Ms. Meiser was my 4th grade teacher at Wilson school in 1979. I loved her so and have often thought and spoke of her with love, kindness, and admiration. I will continue to do so and wish that I could have talked to her as an adult about her travels and experiences; I didn't think it would be possible to admire her more than I already do. She made me love reading and I often find myself reading to my students in the same manner that she read to us. (Yes, I became a teacher and she had much to do with that!) I'm so sorry to hear of her passing and wish I had known about the memorial service. I will say a special prayer for her tonight and for her family that I'm sure is feeling the void in their hearts. God bless you, Dorothy Meiser; an angel on earth and now in heaven.

Dearest Dorothy Meiser was my 4rd grade teacher at Wilson School. I learned so many things from her. My love for reading came from Miss Meisier reading us Beverly Cleary books. I still love the Mouse and the Motorcycle. I have been a teacher myself for 30 years. I know it was her inspiration that helped me decide to be a teacher.
