Dorothy McDonald Obituary

Dorothy Ann McDonald, born in Oak Park, Illinois, recent 31 year resident of Elmhurst, passed away August 20, 2009. She grew up in Forest Park IL, went to school at St. John's Elementary School, Forest Park, IL and Proviso Township High School in Maywood, IL, where she graduated with national honors. Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and an accomplished pianist. She passed on her musical talents to her grandchildren, devoting herself to their musical development. Dorothy was well known for her love of people, hospitality and strong faith. She was a teacher at Primary Education. Survivors include her children Susan (Timothy) McDunn, Dr. Clifford (Lisa) McDonald; grandchildren Megan, Jennifer and Timothy McDunn, Spencer Dahle, Alvaro, Luke, Esther, Ruthie, Sarah and Paul McDonald; brother George (Frances) Baumgartner. Preceded in death by her husband Dr. Larry McDonald, daughter Laura Dahle; sister Elaine Richard. Arrangements by Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd, Elmhurst. She was in state at Christ Church of Oak Brook, York Rd. and 31st St., Oak Brook, 12:00P.M. until time of service at 2:00P.M, August 22. Interment Concordia Cemetery.
