Dorothy Farrell Obituary

Dorothy J. Farrell, age 90, long-time resident of West Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Manor Care in Hinsdale. She was born on July 24, 1920 in LaFox, IL to Hans and Jessie Johnsen. Dorothy was united in marriage on February 19, 1955 to Edward Farrell. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and loved her family. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Karen Boland of West Chicago, Edward III (Shirley) Farrell of LaGrange, James (Sally) Farrell of Bradenton, FL and Anne (Joseph) Gesior of Clarendon Hills; seven grandchildren, Michael and Katie Boland, Christine, Eddie and Zachary Farrell, and Julia and Mark Gesior; along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1979; son-in-law, James Boland in 2009; two brothers and one sister. Visitation was held on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St., West Chicago (One block north of Washington St. & Main St). Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11 AM at the funeral home, Reverend Steve Srock officiating.
