Died: Jan. 7, 2016

Doris Pauline (nee Allen) Wagoner, a resident of LaGrange, IL, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on January 7, 2016.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on January 16, between Noon and 6:00 p.m. at 64 N. Park Rd., LaGrange.

She was born on May 5, 1917, in Lenora, Kansas, the daughter of Leonard Allen and Bertha (Hayes) Allen Clydesdale.

Devoted wife of the late Daniel Wagoner; beloved mother of Linda (Don Ames) Lygrisse, Red Cloud NE; Stephen (Jane) Wagoner, Davenport IA; Thomas (Susan) Wagoner, Brookfield IL; and James (Gail) Wagoner, Hinsdale IL. Beloved grandmother of nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her son, John Wagoner; granddaughter, Paulette (Lygrisse) Haarhues Johnson; brother, Joseph Allen; and his wife, Marcelle Allen.

At her death she was the longest-affiliated member of the First Congregational Church of LaGrange. Pauline had an extensive collection of thimbles and belonged to the Thimblefools of Northern Illinois. She was an accomplished amateur genealogist, having traced her lineage as well as her husband's back many generations. She was a direct descendant of pilgrims John Alden and Priscilla Mullins and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
