Doris Crossey Obituary

Doris P. Crossey, age 90, of Willowbrook, IL passed away November 18, 2010 at her home. She was born December 22, 1919 in Chicago to the late Olga and the late Ernest Pillman. She was the widow of Thomas B. Crossey. Doris was a graduate of Kelly High School in Chicago. During WWII Doris worked for the USO. Doris was a wonderful cook and she and Tom were the owners of the Cubbyhole sandwich shop in Chicago. Doris worked for OAG, an airline guide, and was employed by the law firm of Brenner, Mavrias and Alm in New Lenox. Doris is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Crossey, Candace (Charles) Brown and Susan (the late David) Alm. She was the proud grandmother of Colleen (Jonathan) Ingalls, Cristin (Stephan) Dupree, Chad, Cara and Caitlin Brown; great-grandmother of Jacob, Ryan, Bayley and Adam Ingalls; dear aunt of Tom Crossey, Stephen (Christine) Foh, Pamela (James) Condes, the late Brian Bjerregaard and the late Keith Bjerregaard; great-aunt of Mary Condes, Isabella (Jon) Baratta and Julie (Jim) Dionne. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria (Pillman) Foh; her sister-in-law, Kathleen (Crossey) Bjerregaard; and brothers-in-law, Edward Foh, Harry and William Crossey and Walter Bjerregaard. Visitation was Monday, November 22, 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Toon Funeral Home, 4920 Main Street, Downers Grove, IL 60515. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien, IL.
