Don & myself go back a long way. We worked together on the Riverside PD from 1965 to 1971 when I left to join Chicago PD. We remained friends throughout the years and he will be truely missed. He was a kind and decent man. One of the best policemen I have ever known.
Condolences to his family, which he loved dearly, may God help you through this time of sadness.
Mary Jo and I will miss you. We have only good thoughts and prayers for
Don and his family.

My deepest condolences to your family. I started working for your Dad in November 1974 when I came on to the Riverside P.D. I worked for him until I left for Chicago P.D. on 31 Oct 77. I always thought of him as professional, knowledgeable and fair and I did enjoy working with him on the Riverside P.D.

Hold close all the wonderful memories you have of your dad. He was truly one in a million! Earl, Lauren, Zac and I were blessed to be his neighbor for the past 16 years. We will miss seeing his smiling face across the fence and sharing tomatoes from each others gardens. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives. We will hold close in our hearts knowing that one day we will see him again!

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Don was a fine leader and a great friend. I last saw him at his Birthday Party at the Scout Cabin. He will be missed
Sincerely, John Dunlop ( former Chief of
Police in LAGrange Park)
