Donald Dedrickson Obituary

Donald R.Dedrickson 1927 ~ 2003  Our loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003 at his home in Spanish Fork. He was 76. Don was born April 4, 1927 in Santaquin, UT to Royal B. and Glenda Chapman Dedrickson. He married Clara Joyce Hone Oct 20, 1950 in Nephi, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple Jan 22, 1964. Don graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He was employed by Del Monte Cannery and worked many hours farming. He retired from Geneva Steel where he was a truck driver more than 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, rock collecting and gardening. He especially liked getting in the car and going for a long drive. His family was very important to him and he loved to spend time with them. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as Elders Quorum secretary, and in the Boy Scouts of America. Don is survived by his wife, Clara; sons and daughter, Pat (Robert) Cottam, Spanish Fork, Roger (Lynette) Dedrickson, Spanish Fork, Craig (Jamie) Dedrickson, Willard, CO; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchil-dren; brother, Gale (Barbara) Ded-rickson, Spanish Fork; and sisters, Maureen (Ken) Stika, Price, Marsha (Allen) Groesbeck, Orem. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be Tues. July 22, 2003 12 noon Spanish Fork LDS 8th Ward Chapel, 1006 E. 200 S. Friends may call at the church 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial, Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
