DENVER H. ALEXANDER Portage, Indiana Denver H. Alexander, age 77 years, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Mae, of 13 years; his daughter, Nancy (Dave) Brightwell of KY; grandson, Roy Schneibel of Missouri; 2 great grandsons, Roy Jr. and Tony; step-daughter, Diane (late Sam) Haines of Valparaiso; 7 step-grandchildren, Dawn (Richard) Jurgens of Munster, Holly Twardak of Chicago, Jonna Wolf of California, Joseph (Shannon) Ahner of Portage, Lori (Ming) Lowe of Indianapolis, Christy (Matt) Ulsas of Indianapolis and Sam (Missy) Haines of Arizona; 14 step-great grandchildren, Nicole, Tim, Danielle, Alyssa, Kenny, Marina, Blake, Lauren, Alex, Alivia, Claudia, Chance, David, Jr., and Brandy; four brothers, James, Edward, Elmo and David; and sister, Goldie. Preceded in death by wife, Angela; brothers, Delbert, John, Delmer and Monroe; and sister, Carriebelle. Mr. Alexander was a retired mechanic from General Motors with 13 years of service, a member of Moose Lodge #1900 in Portage, and was active at the Bonner Senior Center. Denver was a Veteran of the Korean War. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 2700 Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN. on Tuesday, from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Moose Service at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. from the Pruzin Brothers Chapel, with Rev. Byron Benedict officiating. At rest, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Uncle Den had this old yellow car in his garage back in the seventies. I liked to look at it all the time.I guess thats I'm hooked on old cars. I am going to miss seeing Uncle Den but, I know he is in Heaven now,And I wiil see him again.
