Denise Smerdon Obituary

LAWRENCE — Denise Lynn Smerdon, 47, of Osgood Street, South Lawrence, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at Lawrence General Hospital.

She was the loving wife of William R.B. Smerdon of South Lawrence, her husband of 11 years.

She was born in Hartford, Conn. on Oct. 7, 1961, daughter of Patricia (Harvey) Rowe of Salisbury and the late Donald Rowe.

Mrs. Smerdon offered her sincere friendship to anyone she met. The needs of others always came before her own necessities. Her loyal friendship will be missed by the many she touched in this life. When she was not going out of her way for friends and neighbors, she enjoyed cross stitching and working on her personal computer.

In addition to her devoted husband, and loving mother, family members include; two sons, Mark Quinn of South Lawrence, Richard Elliot of Hudson, N.H; one step-son, William Smerdon and his wife Melissa of North Andover; one step-daughter, Falisha Smerdon of North Andover; three grandchildren, Rocco Pizzaro, Emily Smerdon and Hannah Smerdon; one brother, Donald Rowe of Castlebury, Fla. one sister, Terry Amore of Methuen; several nieces and nephews; many friends and neighbors.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral from the Diaz-Healy Funeral Home, Inc., 107 South Broadway, opposite St. Patrick Church, South Lawrence. Visiting hours will take place, today, Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral liturgy service will take place at 7 p.m. in the funeral home's South Chapel, with the Rev. Douglas Rickard, officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly called to attend. Courtesy local transportation for the services will be provided on request by calling Manolito F. Billy, I am so sorry for your loss. Denise was a sweet & kind person who opened her heart to everyone. I remember long talks I had with her and will never forget them. Denise was a beautiful woman inside and out. She will be dearly missed by all. My heart & prayers are with you and her family.

Ricky, I am so sorry sweetie for your loss. I know it is a very difficult time for you. I want you to know I will always be here for you whenever you need me. Nothing can replace the love of a mother but have comfort in knowing how much love she had for you. She was always so proud of her lill Ricky. May she rest with the Angels in peace.

Oh my God. The good really do pass on young! Denise was an extra special person. I loved her and I have missed her these past years. I am glad she found love and family happiness. My family and i will always remember her sincere kindness, that beautiful smile and her genuine care for everyone. I will think of her often and remember her forever.
