A whole year has gone by...hard to imagine. My wife and 9-yr-old son and I still miss Dave (Big Dave to my son) very much but we know he's in a "better place" which makes us happy for him. We still talk about Dave alot and I love telling my son about the good times and mischief I was lucky to share with Dave.

It is with broken hearts that we say good-bye to Dave. He was a dedicated husband, a loving son and our good friend. He was "Big Dave", "Uncle Dave" and at times a darn good trouble-maker! He made us laugh, he made us wonder. Now he's made us cry. We try to remember him without tears, but it isn't easy. So Dave ... good-bye for now. Take it easy, rest up and save us a seat - we'll be there to visit you soon. Until then, we're just going to have to miss you an aweful lot.

We were so very sorry to read of David's death. We will always remember him as a fellow Cub Scout member and Irving classmate of our son David. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. God bless.
