David Brown Obituary
David Byrkit Brown, age 91, of LaGrange Park and formerly of Western Springs; beloved husband of the late Harriett (née Cleveland) Brown; loving father of Judy (Andy) Nearpass, Nancy (Bruce) Fathers, & Warren (Sue) Brown; proud grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 6; uncle and friend of many. David enjoyed his career teaching chemistry beginning in Huntley, IL, then LTHS, and then being a part of the original faculty of College of DuPage where he won teacher of the year. David spent his life reading God's Word daily, sharing verses & joy with others, enjoying family time, and using his many creative gifts. He will be greatly missed, but we rejoice that he is no longer suffering, and is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 7 with a visitation from 12pm, until the time of his Memorial Service at 2pm, at Plymouth Place, 315 N. LaGrange Road, LaGrange Park, IL 60526. Interment private. Memorial donations in David's name to Agape (https://www.agapenashville.org/) or Chicagoland Prison Outreach (https://cpoministries.org/) are appreciated. David was in our suite if offices at tge college.He made fudge fir hus Chemistry students and My children remember him sharing it with them as well when they came to my office .
Harriet abd Davud were dear friends and they were always kind and caring.David shared his poems and stories and he gave me his Chinook
.motor home to take to the Native Americans when I was teaching Nursing on the Pine Ridge reservation and tge Sirtual leader if tge Lakota said it was one of the best gifts they ever received .Davud was a great teacher and dear friend and I kniw he us happy in heaven with Harriet.
May his walk on Spirit Road be filled with Light and Peace

David and Harriet were dear friends.David was in my office suite at the College of DuPage so we saw each other everyday.He shared hus fudge with my children when they were with me and he shared it with hus Chemistry students.He also shared hus stories and poems.He gave me his Chinook motor home to take to tge Natuve Americans in South Dakota when I went to teach nursing on the Pine Ridge reservation.I gave it to the Spiritual leader of the Lakota and they Saud it was one if the best gifts ever received.David was a gift to all if us in that suite at COD.We all were friends and I know he is happy with Harriet in heaven .My life was blessed by his friendship .May his walk
on Spirit Road be filled with Light and Peace.
