Daniel A. "Flip" Phillips, age 66, of Lemont, at rest January 28, 2016, in Sebastian Fl.
Proudly served his country in the Vietnam era as a member of the U.S. Army. Former project manager for Heritage Environmental Services in Lemont.
Beloved husband of Shirley nee Drafke; loving father of Daniel and Justin; dearest brother of Sherri Wedic and Laddie Phillips Jr; dear son-in-law of Margaret Drafke; fond brother-in-law of Joan (Mike) Hoffman; uncle and great uncle to many.
Preceded in death by his mother, Clara Van Ort; sister, Alice Potter; father-in-law, Fred Drafke; and brother-in-law, Robert Drafke.
Funeral Services were held February 3, 2016, at Gerharz-Cappetta Funeral Home & Cremation Services followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America Illinois State Council c/o Pres. Butch Huber 1556 40th St., Rock Island, Il. 61201-3835.

Danny used to have coffee with my cousins Greg and Roger and me down at Harry's when we were kids. Sherry worked there for a long time and it was the place to go if you wanted to find anyone. The last time I saw Danny was at rt. 66 when he took me for a quick "flight" in his Chevelle! Peace
