Daniel R. Remer Osborn

Daniel Roger Remer Osborn, age 32, passed away peacefully in his home in Darien, Illinois on October 26th, 2016 surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his parents, David Osborn and Jan Remer-Osborn; and his sister, Lexi.

Daniel was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Marie Remer and Vern and Louise Osborn; and his uncle, Roger Osborn.

He is survived by beloved aunts and uncles, Donna, Phil, Alan, Ronnie, Kathy, John, Jimmy, Desiree, and Susan Osborn, and Marilyn Lamar and Michael Liss, Alice and Mark Moberg, Linda and Soli Mullan, Judy and John Banka, and Joanne and Mike Paller. His cousins include, Amanda, Zack, Kim, Cree, Joshua, Nathan, Laura, Steven, Emily, Jessica, Kristy, Shireen, Zarina, Kevin, Kelsey, Natalie, Heather, Hillary, and their children.

Daniel graduated from Downers Grove South High School in 2002. He received a trumpet music scholarship and attended Indiana University. He was employed as an IT professional at SunGard Computer Services, Inc. and an IT Supervisor at TradeStation Securities. An avid fisherman, his proudest moment was catching a musky during a Canadian fishing trip with his dad. He was a self-described "foodie" and cat lover.

Daniel's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2017, 1:00pm at the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Downers Grove, 1047 Curtiss Street, Downers Grove, IL 60515.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Daniel Osborn Scholarship Fund c/o CHSD99 South High School or the Daniel Osborn Trumpet Performance Fund at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Downers Grove are preferred.
