Dan and I were in the same classroom for our senior year. He was a real funny guy! Always keeping you laughing. St. Mel High School Class of `67.

Miss your wit and all your jokes. We´re sure that the heavenly clan is always laughing & smiling.

He was kind to my mother before I came into the world; and was always a loyal 'Goomba' in my growing up years. I miss him so.

So sorry I couldn't make the services, but my memories of Danny go back to the St. Thomas days....such a nice, sweet guy, probably overwhelmed by all of us girls hanging out at his house. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the McGrath family during this difficult time. May he enjoy this St. Patrick's day in full splendor with all the loved ones who have gone before him.

The Cardiopulmonary department at Loretto Hospital offer our deepest sympathy on the death of Danny. We talk about Kathy every other day and just last week we mentioned how Kathy and Danny would celebrate ST. Patrick's day. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Lois, please accept mine and my sister's condolences on the passing of your Dad. There must have been a special job for him in Heaven for him to to be taken so suddenly. Everyone's lives were blessed by knowing your Dad. Our prayers are with you.

My sincere sympathy to the family of Danny McGrath. I remember our high school days at St. Mel's. He was a gentle giant, and a funny guy to be around. May you rest in peace, Heaven is getting a good man!

The world is a sad place these days with the loss our dear friend Danny. Always there with a helping hand to those in need. A great shoulder to lean on, you will be truly missed. The family is in my prayers.

Dear Family,
I'm saddened to hear the news of Danny's passing. I remember many family gatherings with Danny and even visiting him with my brother Roger while he was "working" in Berwyn. Know that you are all in my prayers.

Danny without a doubt would do anything to help anyone!! Heaven just got a little classier!! Deepest sympathies Loisanne your Dad was an awesome friend and will be deeply missed!!

Dan was one of the best Engineers in the Chicago Public Schools. He loved all of the children, and he had a kind word for all of them. I haven't seen or heard from Dan in over 15 years, and I still have fond memories of him.

My heart goes out to the McGrath family. There will be know one who can replace Santa Claus

I had the pleasure of growing up with Danny. We lived on the same street and did all 8 years at St. Thomas Aquinas in the same class, along with his cousin, Joanne. Danny could always be counted on to crack us up and make us laugh. He was a great, fun guy. My deepest sympathy to Danny's daughter, Loisanne, sister, Kathy and all the McGraths.

My "favorite uncle on that side of the family" - someone who brought so much joy and laughter to all who knew him. I could sit for hours and just listen to him tell all the stories of the past and loved hearing them over and over again! Even over the backyard fence at age 12 Danny was "crackin' us up". Wonderful memories for the Roche and McGrath clans from Lorel and Lockwood Avenues.

Dan, with a HEART as BIG as he was, will be sorely missed by all he touched with his quick, quite honest wit! As in life, so in death... he did it, said it, his way-fast and biting.
