Dear Tom, Margie and Gail,
So sorry I couldn't make the services, but my memories of Danny go back to the St. Thomas days....such a nice, sweet guy, probably overwhelmed by all of us girls hanging out at his house. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the McGrath family during this difficult time. May he enjoy this St. Patrick's day in full splendor with all the loved ones who have gone before him.

Dear Loisanne and Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your entire family on the loss of your Dad. I'm sorry I was unable to attend Dan's wake, but I was at his funeral Mass. I'm not sure my eyes are dry even now. Loisanne you did him proud.
Sincerely, Mary Hamilton, (Joe's sister)

Dan was one of the best Engineers in the Chicago Public Schools. He loved all of the children, and he had a kind word for all of them. I haven't seen or heard from Dan in over 15 years, and I still have fond memories of him.

I had the pleasure of growing up with Danny. We lived on the same street and did all 8 years at St. Thomas Aquinas in the same class, along with his cousin, Joanne. Danny could always be counted on to crack us up and make us laugh. He was a great, fun guy. My deepest sympathy to Danny's daughter, Loisanne, sister, Kathy and all the McGraths.

My "favorite uncle on that side of the family" - someone who brought so much joy and laughter to all who knew him. I could sit for hours and just listen to him tell all the stories of the past and loved hearing them over and over again! I am so happy that Mary Elizabeth was so lucky to have such a "special santa" in her life. I love you Uncle Danny! Your "favorite niece on that side of the family" Tammy

Dear Loisanne and Family:
Our deepest sympathies to all the McGrath's. It is a great sudden loss of a great "happy, funny, generous man. Tall and mighty Danny brought much laughter to any gathering. Even over the backyard fence at age 12 Danny was "crackin' us up". Wonderful memories for the Roche and McGrath clans from Lorel and Lockwood Avenues.
May the angels ever guard him and all of his family...
Love,
Jim & Peggy Boyle & Family

Dan, with a HEART as BIG as he was, will be sorely missed by all he touched with his quick, quite honest wit! As in life, so in death... he did it, said it, his way-fast and biting. Remember him with a smile, a chuckle and a shake of the head. Carry on his 'fierce love' of family and friends, but mostly, quietly, take care of those in need. Bring a smile to someone's face! "God be with you, Dan."
