Cindy Lodovico, 77, passed away at her home in Lombard on November 24, 2023. Prior to moving to Lombard, she & her husband Sam resided in Brookfield for more than 45 years, where they were business owners and active members of the community.
Cindy loved and cherished the many dear friends and relatives who enriched her days as a wife, mother and grandmother as well as receptionist, bookkeeper, gardener, avid reader, and homemaker. Above all else, Cindy's devotion to her faith came first in her life. She will be missed among the congregation of Christ Church of Oak Brook.
Cindy was born to the late Edward Budzik and Cecilia (Cygan) of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam and brothers Gerald and Ron Budzik. Cindy is survived by her four children, Dean of Bolingbrook, Martin of Hinsdale, Tina (Don Hendricks) of Edgartown, MA, and Joy (Jamie Pokusa) of Costa Mesa, CA. She is the treasured grandmother of Claire, Sam, Sidney, and Sofia. Adored auntie of Mark (Lisa), Tom (JoJo), Larry, Sam (Jayleen), Brian Budzik, Lisa (Gary) Vander Naald and Beth (Jon) Shedden. Honorary auntie of Lisa Noonan, Jim (Cari Lin) Jurkovic and Mary Turnbull.
A brief memorial service will be held on Friday December 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West in the Hippach Memorial Chapel, 17W201 E Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. The service will be followed by the internment of Cindy & Sam's ashes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Cindy's memory to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation or the Morton Arboretum.
