Craig J. Stevenson, passed peacefully December 3, 2013 surrounded by close family and friends. Craig, a warm and loving man, is brother to Mark Stevenson (Rosalie), Dian (David) Krogull and Nancy (Mike) Smith. Beloved uncle to Joshua Krogull (Robin), Casey (Jim)Hrycyk, Jesse Krogull (Lizzy), Kristin Smith and Ryan Smith, and great uncle to Jeneva and Lilyahna Hrycyk. Craig worked for many years at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, in the patient transport department where his love for people and his compassionate nature touched both his co-workers and the patients he cared for. One could not encounter Craig without him helping you feel better. His love and impact in this life is immeasurable. He will be greatly missed by all, but all will have become better for knowing him and enjoying his endless smile and warm heart. We love you Craig. I have worked with Craig for many years at Good Samaritan Hospital. His gentle, caring manner with our patients helped make them more at ease just knowing that someone cared. He will be missed.

Craig has touched the lives of so many and he will be missed by more than he would have ever know. Nancy, Craig's little sister, is my childhood best friend and I spent so many days, nights and weekends in their home sharing in their laughter. While I did not know Craig as an adult, I do know that his genuine and kind soul was the same throughout his life. I have very fond memories of his laughter, his smile and his awesome sense of humor. My prayers are with his family on this difficult day and those that are to come. May you find peace in knowing that Craig has gone Home, but will live within you forever.

Craig was a beloved and respected gentleman, brother, mentor, and friend. We are glad to have known him. May your memories be filled with happiness and laughter for the good times spent with Craig. Love, Linda and Dave.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Craig for several years. His patience, compassion and empathy for patients and families was second to none. He always had a kind word, reassuring smile and words of encouragement. As a coworker, he always took the time to share a compliment and always expressed a genuine interest in my son's education and career, as recently as one month ago. Even after I left the organization, he always made sure things were going well when my parents were hospitalized and had such kind words of condolence after my dad passed away. Once you met and knew Craig, your life instantly became a richer one. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
