Hello Family of Clark Fischer
I am so sorry to hear of Clark's passing. I wish I had known of it at the time, as I very much would have liked to be at his services.
I attended York H.S. in the early/mid 1970s and I had the good fortune of playing football for Clark. I have many fond memories of that time, and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to experience his kindness and wisdom in my life. He very much had an influence on my life at that time, and was truly a guide in my transition from teen to adult. He remained interested and supportive of my life as I moved onto college, and into my career, which at that time, was in teaching and coaching.
I feel very blessed to have had Clark in my life.
God Bless All of You.

I will always have the fondest memories of Clark's wonderful patience and calm demeanor as he taught me how to drive, the handful of times when my dad was busy and he generously gave me rides to work at Oakbrook Mall during high school, and his great stories and sense of humor. His proud and lasting legacy endures in the very best parts of York, and he will be missed. Sending love to all the Fischers. -Kelly

I have always felt fortunate to know and be coached by Coach Fisher while on the York HS football teams. He had become head coach of a failing program and brought the '69 team within 1 point of the WSC Championship. It was an exciting season.
Coach helped me very much with my goals after high school; such as college etc. Not an easy task, because I could try his patience at times.
What I felt stood out the most of Coach was his ability to get a team to reach the peak of their abilities, while being such a nice person as well. He was kind to everyone.
I always looked at him and was impressed on how important family were to him and Peggy.
While at a Randy Michael Memorial function, Coach introduced me to his son. He went on to tell me that his son broke a track record I had at York, and quick to point out it was the longest standing York track team record. Coach was very proud. I was happy for him.
Coach was an inspiration to all and helped so many. He will be missed.

Clark and Peg raised 5 amazing boys and I was one of the lucky neighbors who got to watch them grow. Clark was kind and loving and gave great advice! Peg and Clark were a true team, helping each other achieve their goals and were great examples to all of us. He will be missed and remembered always.
