Claire Vaughn Obituary

VAUGHN Claire A. Claire A. Vaughn, age 79, found peace Thursday, October 18, 2007, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born April 18, 1928, in Calumet City, IL. Claire and James G. Vaughn were married in 1946. She worked at Ralph Shawaker Co. and Olsten Healthcare. More recently Claire was a senior volunteer tutor at Oakdale Elementary School. Claire is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Pamela C. Vaughn; son, James G. (Emily) Vaughn II; granddaughters, Gretchen (Rob) Vargo, Megan Vaughn; great-grandsons, Adam and Ryan and sister, Doris Carroll. Her special "kitties" will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Vaughn and sister, Loretta McCauley. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00am Monday in St. Pius X Church. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where a Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Toledo Humane Society or Claire's Pet Care Fund. Online condolences may be left at www.ansberg-west.com The family would like to thank the 5th floor nurses at Flower Hospital and the C.C.I.C.U. staff at the Toledo Hospital.
