Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Knowing Mrs. Davis for several years growning up she did exactly that. She acknowledge the Lord and lead many to Christ. I will never forgot how much a friend she was to my mother Bettye Sanford or to me and my brother Tony. She will truly be missed. May God comfort you and keep his hands upon you all. Sincerely,

Kayren (Shoffner) Cathcart

To my childhood friend Janel and the entire Davis Family,

I will never forget growing up next door to you on Santa Clara Drive. Your mother always welcomed me into your home – as if there weren’t enough people there already! (smile)

But “one more person” never seemed to bother her! What a legacy of Christ’s love she leaves with each of you. I pray that the Holy Spirit reveal Himself as Comforter and Friend during this time of adjusting to her homegoing. May we stay encouraged as we continue to spread the glorious Gospel she taught and modeled with the example of her life.

With much love from the little short girl next door,
Kayren Jamelle (Shoffner) Cathcart
(yes, I’m STILL short!)

As I pondered what to write, one of thing profoundly stood out:
"6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2Tim4:6-8
