Christian Lipek Obituary

Christian E. Lipek, age 99, a long-time resident of Glen Ellyn and member of Grace Lutheran Church, died peacefully on October 2, 2012 due to natural causes. Chris was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret and second wife Darlene. He is survived by his loving daughter Carol Ann; grandchildren, Rob, Ron and Jeannine; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Chris was a fruit and vegetable broker at the South Water Market for the John C. Lester Company for many years. After retiring he became a local handyman. Chris loved playing darts for the Grace team and attending sporting events of his grandchildren. A luncheon and service was held at Grace on October 6th and burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.
