Charles Mallahan Obituary
Charles "Pat" Mallahan, age 84, US Marine Veteran, of Western Springs, longtime volunteer of Adventist LaGrange Hospital and the LaGrange Rotary Secret Santa Program. Beloved husband of Paulette M. Mallahan for a wonderful 47 years. Loving father of Charles (Angelica) Mallahan, Jr. and Catherine (John) Gilbert. Devoted grandfather of Nicole, Patrick III (Kyla), Austin, Gianna (Alex) Carrike, Shelby, Piper Mallahan and Jordan Alvarado; & Sean Gilbert and Erin Gilbert. Dear brother of James, Richard and the late Robert Mallahan. Cherished brother-in-law of Beth (Phil) Gniot. Fond uncle of many. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces Cari Wood, Katie (Brandon) O'Daniel, and Susan (Patrick) Marsch. Friend of many. Visitation 10am until time of Funeral Service 11:30am on Saturday, October 22nd at St. John's Lutheran Church, 505 S. Park Rd., LaGrange. Interment private. Paulette and family, Sending our sympathy and love during this difficult time. We have fond memories of Pat´s keen sense of humor, his kindness in doing so much for others, his strong work ethic and leadership. Such a great athlete too. So glad we were able to meet up for lunch often when you were in Vegas on your way to Palm Desert and we returned to Midwest for the summer. Pat will forever be in our hearts. Pat and Paulette were some of the first people I met through Secret Santa program. I will always remember his kind eyes and smile as he worked tirelessly for everyone. One of the great guys. My heart is with you and your family, Paulette.
