Charles Lamptey Obituary
Charles Odaatei Lamptey
age 62, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at his home in Woodbridge, VA.
Charles was born on February 12, 1946 in Accra, Ghana and was the son of the late Emmanuel Crosby Lamptey and Mary Adaku Tettey and the husband of Adriana Yorke.
Mr. Lamptey was a sales representative in Woodbridge, VA. Charles loved his family, friends and cherished the relationships he has built over his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by those that loved him.
Survivors include his mother: Mary Adaku Tettey; wife: Adriana Yorke; one son: Edwin Lamptey; daughters: Hilda, Nelly and Lillian; brothers: G Odaate Lamptey, Eric O. Lamptey, Samuel, Saban, Okaija; Sisters: Victoria, Monica, Veronica, Naomi, Edna, Olivia, Shaayoo, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 6-9 PM at the Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193 where the funeral service will be held at 7 PM. After the services the visitation will continue until 9 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11AM at Sunset Memorial Park in Fredericksburg, VA.

It was such a shock to hear that Charles has passed away. God called him home and he is at peace. I wish that his family and friends find peace as well. It is so hard when a loved one is called to glory.

I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Mr Charles's passing. He was a very kind man and always very pleasant. He had a smile that would light up any room and make any sad face happy again.

I was very shocked and surprised to hear about Charles passing. He was a very sweet kind man with an affectionate smile. He will truly be missed especially during the holiday season with those pearly whites.
