My grandfather was a great man! One of the funniest smooth talkers you will have ever met! Took me to get my drivers license, talked to the girl the whole time she just passed me without ever seeing me drive! Legend! As far as crossing guards go in Berwyn he was the best! 26th and Oak-park Ave! He will always be remembered and missed!!

I knew Charlie as a veteran. He was a great guy and had a lot of success throughout his life. I think it was great being a crossing guard and giving back and helping school kids. I will always remember him for that especially
