Cecilia Kirschbaum Obituary
Cecilia G. Kirschbaum (nee Ihme) age 96, of Western Springs for 60 plus years.
Beloved wife of the late Lester H; loving mother of Robert E. (Charlene) Kirschbaum; devoted grandmother of Michael, Christine, Keith, Marla and Corine; great-grandmother of 11; aunt of many.
Visitation Friday, December 12, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hallowell & James Funeral Home 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers Saturday, December 13, 10:45 a.m. from the chapel to St. John of the Cross Church in Western Springs for Mass at 11:15 a.m. Private Inurnment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
Mrs. Kirschbaum along with her late husband founded Kirschbaum Bakery in Western Springs.
Donations in her memory to St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Rd., Western Springs, IL 60558 would be appreciated.

Their business was a labor of love for each other and the village.. I don't think I ever saw them without a smile..I remember Les going around at night during the Christmas season checking on the lights in the trees in the planter boxes before the village put up the lights. Cecilia was always at her best behind the counter at the bakery helping the customers.. Our sincere sympathy to the family and we appreciate their fine example and years of dedicated service...
