I always s treasured the times I got to share with Aunt Ceil. Her example of a strong single woman in the 50's and 60's was a wonder. More importantly, her example of unconditional generosity and love to the Duffy family helped mold the values of our young lives.

My great aunt, Kay Curtin, considered Ceil her best friend. As she always said, they were "friends for a hundred years". Ceil and I kept in touch for quite a while after Kay's passing, but had lost touch in recent times. My sympathy to those this lovely lady leaves behind. She always spoke so proudly and warmly of her extended family.

I always enjoyed my chats with sweet, gracious Aunt Ceil. She was one of the first career women I knew of. When I think of her, I think of dressing up and going downtown to Marshall Field's - an era that I miss.
