Carroll Gene Seibert, 74, of Rochelle, IL, passed away April 5, 2015, at his home with his beloved wife at his side.

He was born on August 29, 1940, in Mt. Carmel, IL, to the late Ivan Ernest and Lelia Rosetta ( Butler ) Seibert. Throughout his lifetime he had many talents and hobbies, including sailing, woodworking, wine making, flying private planes and ultra lights. Carroll believed in the value of hard work and pursuing his passions with dedication and joy. He was a kind and loving man who always believed in giving to others and appreciating life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed and will live on through the memories his loved ones share.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Marie (Kurtz ) Seibert; sons, Karl A. Seibert, Kevin M. Seibert, and Matthew J. (Mary) Ziegler. 1 daughter, Kathleen M. (Thomas) Robinson. Siblings, Harold (Charlene ) Seibert and Arlene ( Richard ) Branz; his precious grandchildren, Ryan Seibert, Caitlyn Seibert, Aidan Ziegler, Grace Ziegler, Liam Ziegler, Paxton Robinson and Hadley Robinson. Brothers in-law, Richard Kurtz and Kenneth (Sandy) Kurtz. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Lelia Seibert.

Memorial service will be held April 25, 2015, at 11:00 celebrating his life at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home 704 N. 6th St. Rochelle, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. till the time of service.
