She was born in Lynn on Dec. 18, 1931 daughter of the late Courtlandt and Alice (Carter) Haskell. She grew up in Swampscott and graduated from Swampscott High School and Burdett Secretarial School in Lynn.
She worked for General Electric as a secretary for several years and was married in 1952.
She made her home in Wakefield, Swampscott, Concord and most recently Littleton, for the past 37 years.
She worked as a waitress for the Old Oaken Bucket in Westford and later as a cashier at Donelan's Supermarket in Littleton for 12 years.
She enjoyed painting watercolors at the Littleton Council On Aging, and loved spending time with her family, especially at her pool and going to the beach.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Susan Bailey of Silver Lake, N.H., Sandra Bailey of Lancaster, Tracy Ann Bailey of Littleton; a son, Thomas C. Bailey of Littleton; a sister, Joyce Balchunas, residing in California; five grandchildren, Amy L. Hudson, Jessie R. Ingham, Lee D. Ingham, Sarah J. Velton and Joshua R. Velton; two great-grandchildren, William T. Ingham and Madison P. Ingham; as well as as many lifelong friends.

I worked with Carol at Donelans and she was always such a delight. She always smiled and said good morning to everyone, and I remember fondly how her husband would always come and pick her up after her shift everyday. She will be missed.
