Carl J. Schwalm, age 87, of Downers Grove, Illinois; beloved husband of the late Marilyn J. Schwalm, née Gaul; loving father of David C. (Ashley) Schwalm and Chris L. (Bryan) Culp; dear grandfather of Brendan, Autumn, and Olivia Schwalm, Michaela and Mackenzie Culp; cherished brother of Ruth (the late Phil) McCarthy; fond uncle of Linda (Greg) Klawitter, Patricia (Fred) Brown, and Paul (Deborah) McCarthy.
Visitation was held Wednesday, February 8th, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, February 9th, 10:00 a.m. at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main Street (1 Blk. Carl drove Linda and I to high school on his way to work many, many years ago. I as Linda´s good
buddy also called him Uncle Sonny and was proud to be able to do so.
Many fond memories come to my mind today.
