Bryant A. Ruhl

Bryant A. "BR" Ruhl, age 71, of the LaGrange Highlands.

U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam Era and served as a firefighter for the Village of LaGrange with 30 years of service and the Pleasantview Fire Protection District Air Rehab Unit.

Beloved husband of Beth (nee Finlayson); loving father of Tracy and David Ruhl; dear brother of Erv (Kirsten) Ruhl; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was on Sunday, November 8, 2015, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Fire Department Walk-Through 7:00 p.m.) at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St. Countryside. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Monday, November 9, at 10:00 a.m., at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4370 Woodland Ave., Western Springs. Interment Bronswood Cemetery.

Bryant worked at my church; he was hard working and always willing to help whenever he was needed. He especially was there for me when things needed to be fixed and gave it his best shot to get the job done. He was a good man and will be missed.
