To the family of Bruce Kuchler:

I was deeply saddened to learn Bruce past away last September. I learned of his passing in the Northland College newsletter which I recently received. I was a classmate and friend of Bruce at Northland College from 1970 to 1974. We graduated together in May 1974. Bruce was a member of a group of 5 people which hung around together for 3 years. I was very lucky to know him! He was a great person to be with. He had a great sense of humor and he was a mean crazy-8 card player. I remember our graduation night down at the West End tavern when we were smoking a cigar together. The world was our playing field and we went our separate ways. I had hoped to see him again when I visited the Chicago area however, my trips to Chicago were few. It is my regret that I did not see him and meet his family!

Bruce and I were room-mates many years ago at Northland College and I just found out he died last September. Bruce was a very good friend during that time and we, and all of our friends, greatly enjoyed our college life together. I greatly valued his friendship and and have very happy memories of those times. Bruce was a very good person and I am so sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I've only known Bruce a few months through work. He was managing the construction of the new Walgreens in Woodridge Plaza, a center I am the property manager of. He was always so helpful and quick to respond if I had any requests. He often offered to do more. There isn't a kinder soul, I will sincerely miss him. You are correct in saying "people will always be better for knowing him".

There are so many wonderful memories of Bruce. The time he came over and helped me build a float for the night parade in Westmont. How he always looked out for me like an older brother would. He was always supportive and comforting when I was sad or sick or happy and healthy. I love him and am here for you in any way possible.
