Bruce Dickson Obituary

Bruce Dickson, of Mountain Home, AR, formerly a Willow Springs resident, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home at the age of 64. He was born Tuesday, October 3, 1944 in Ashville, North Carolina, the son of Perry and Mary Hazel Culberson Turner and was raised by William Dickson. He married Darla Fenton on October 21, 2000 at Bridgeview, Illinois and worked as a truck driver. Bruce lived in Mountain Home since 2007 moving from Willow Springs, Illinois. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #731 IBOFT. He had an outgoing personality and was friendly. Just a "Good Ole Boy". Bruce Dickson is survived by his wife, Darla Dickson and 1 son, Dave Socha of Santa Monica, CA, 3 daughters, Wendy (Lance) Batey of LaVernia, TX, Sherri (Chris) Leff of Rowlett, TX, and Tammy Dickson of Grapevine, TX, 7 grandchildren, 1 sister, Ann Fore of NC and the mother of his children Roberta "Berdie" Dickson of Grapevine, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
