Billie Anderson Obituary

Billie W. Anderson, age 85, a resident of Glen Ellyn for 30 years, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his home. Billie was born November 14, 1925 in Divernon, IL. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. Billie was a salesman for Crane Company in Springfield. He was a member of the Glen Ellyn Kiwanis Club, Elks and Rotary both in Springfield; served on the Board of Directors for ESSE, volunteered for PADS and the Peoples Resource Center; and a very active 30-year member of the First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn. Billie is survived by his beloved wife, Marj Cole Anderson and loving son Robert Anderson of Glen Ellyn. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Cantrall Anderson, two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13th from 4-8pm at the Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St., Glen Ellyn. Funeral service Thursday 11am at the First United Methodist Church, 424 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn. Private Inurnment. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the First United Methodist Church, 424 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 or the Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn, PO Box 440, Glen Ellyn, IL 60138. Arrangements by Leonard Memorial Home, (630) 469-0032.
