Our cherished and beloved Mother, Beverly “Bev” Ann Briolat (Geyer) passed away peacefully after a very courageous battle with cancer at the age of 78 with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 22, 1947 in Owendale, Michigan to the late Roy and Dorothy Geyer.
Beverly married the late Ernest Stanley Briolat on December 7, 1974. Beverly worked for Saginaw Steering Gear, Active Industries (Tower Automotive) for 30 years and retired working part-time at Walmart. Bev will be remembered for her impeccable work ethic, both at her place of employment and her home. Bev started working outside the home at just 14 years old, and renovated various homes with her late husband, Ernie. Bev had a vision to see the finished product and found value in all things from her treasure hunting at thrift stores or estate sales. You never threw it away as she reimagined its purpose and use. She tended all the beautiful outside flower gardens in her spare time and created amazing silk floral pieces for her indoor décor. Bev found joy in spending time with family and friends over a good cup of coffee or playing cards at the euchre table. Bev was a devoted Buick car owner and could be heard saying “let’s go for a ride”. Her warm spirit gave many loving homes to her precious dogs over the years.
Beverly is survived by her three daughters; Amy Jo Briolat, Kari Ann Briolat and Dawn Marie (Mark) Iseler; her grandchildren Branden (Jaylee), Jacob, Katelyn, Ally, Kyle (Dakota), William and Abigail and her great-grandchild Kayden. She is also survived by her siblings; Audrey (late Malcolm “Mac”) Downing, Judi (Bob) Brahmer and Gary (Amy) Geyer. Also surviving are her in-laws; Leonard (Marjorie) Briolat, Ronald Briolat, Virgil (Elaine)Briolat, Charles Briolat, Robert (Annette) Briolat, Suzanne Briolat and Carol (late John) Beaudin. She was preceded in death by the late Stanley and Gladys Briolat and the late Bernice and James Weber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 1:00pm at St. Michaels’ Catholic Church Annunciation of the Lord Parish in Port Austin, Fr. Pat O'Connor will be officiating, arrangements are being handled by MacAlpine Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00PM at St. Michaels Catholic church/Annunciation of the Lord Parish.
