Beth Smith Obituary

Smith, Beth Sampson (age 37)
Born on April 8th, 1965, became an angel on July 12th, 2002 after a valiant fight with a brain tumor. In her earlier years, Beth graduated from South High in Torrance, CA. She went to college at USC, where she majored in Journalism. For the past 4 years, Beth worked at Broadcom Corporation in the finance department. As an avid sports fan, Beth loved both football and baseball. The Dallas Cowboys were her "Team" and of course her alumni, USC Trojans. Throughout her life, Beth had many accomplishments. The greatest two are her boys, Jake 7 and Joey 5. We miss her greatly, but look forward to the day when we will see her again in heaven. Beth is survived by her husband, Doug; sons, Jake and Joey; parents, Shirley and Jerry Sampson; mother and father-in-law, Pat and Doug Fuhlrodp; brothers, Chris (partner Jeff), Steve and Neil; sisters-in-law, Carol and Keena; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Tim, Neil Michael, Kyle, Kaylan and Conley. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Wednesday (today), O'Connor Laguna Hills Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Pkwy., Laguna Hills. (949)581-4300. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Coast Hills Community Church, Aliso Viejo. In lieu of flowers, a college trust fund has been established for Jake and Joey, c/o Washington Mutual, Laguna Niguel, Alicia Parkway Financial Center, Laguna Nigeul, CA 92677.
