Bernice M. Biggs, age 90, of Hart, Michigan, and formerly of Cicero , passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 in Hart. She was born April 20, 1924 in Chicago, to Stanley and Peligia (Majewski) Lisiecki.

Bernice married John Biggs on October 2, 1948. They lived in Cicero before moving to Hart in 1987. John passed away in 1997.

Bernice was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Shelby, Michigan. She enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening and following the Chicago Cubs. Bernice also loved to attend her grandkids school and sporting events. She had a smile for everyone, and will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her children, Barbara (Rich) Setlak of Shelby, Marie Biggs of Hart, John S. (Debbie) Biggs of Cicero and Susan Allen of Hart; grandchildren, Jenni Setlak of Wisconsin, Angie Setlak of Washington, Michelle Mitchell of Indiana, Susan Biggs of Cicero, Joseph (Tanya) Dowdy of Whitehall and Heather Deneke of Muskegon; great-grandchildren, Desiree Biggs, Jonathan Biggs, Shane Wittmer and Cain Priese; three nieces and one nephew.

Mrs. Biggs was also preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Lee Biggs.

The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Biggs was held Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in Shelby, Michigan. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shelby.
