Barbara G. Van Cura
Barbara G. Van Cura (nee Guyer), age 91, of Burr Ridge. Beloved wife of the late Joseph V. Van Cura for a wonderful 67 years. Loving mother of Linda (Dick) Livingston and Karl (Laurie) Van Cura. Devoted grandmother of Reuben, Joseph and Sarah Livingston & Edward (Kylee), Douglas and Anamarie Van Cura. Cherished great-grandmother of Edison. Preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Sara Guyer and siblings, Robert Guyer and Mary Ellen (Robert) Davies. Barbara worked for Freedom Federal. She volunteered for the Presbyterian Home, Evanston and others. Barbara loved to travel worldwide with Joseph, as well as visiting the local Brookfield Zoo and Chicago museums. She will be fondly remembered for her love of entertaining her family. Visitation will be held 9:45am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30am on Friday, December 16th at Presbyterian Church of Western Springs, 5250 Wolf Road, Western Springs, IL 60558. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookfield Zoo. Arrangements are entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside at 708-352-6500 or HJFunerals.com
