Barbara Traynum Obituary

Barbara Owen Traynum, 76, of 2814 Old Greenville Highway, Central was the loving grandmother, mother, friend and wife of Ralph Martin Traynum, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late William Clarence and Mary Cartee Owen. She was a former resident of Greenville, previous owner of Career Classics Clothing Store in Mauldin, a member of Refuge Baptist Church, a member of Red Hatters, and was a creative writer.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Marty Traynum and his wife, Tammy of Nashville, TN; one daughter, Pamela Glasser and her husband, Mark of Central; three brothers Charles Owen of Pendleton, Richard Owen of Liberty, and Jerry Owen of Seneca; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Vernon Owen and Alton Owen; and one sister, Doris Perry.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Saturday at Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Pace and Mr. Harold Dyar officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:30 til noon Saturday prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
