Devoted Daughter of the late Carol and Lowell "Bus" Lee; Loving Sister of Thomas (Rachel) Lee; Fond Aunt of Nathan Lee, Erin (Jake) McElroy, Angie McMahon, Destinee Lee and Mariah Lee; Great Aunt of Sam, Tess, Hunter, Zoey, Weston, Julian and Rosalina.
Long time Laboratory Manager at St. Bernard Hospital and Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital.
Visitation was held at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Interment Elm Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

I met Barbara in the summer of 1975
We became good friends and colleagues
Eventually, she chose me to be her personal physician, an honor I was treasured to enjoy for about 30 years

I met Barbara when we worked at Weiss together. We were friends for many years. She was with me when I met my husband, and was the maid of honor at my wedding. I recently had been trying to contact her to schedule her next trip to Florida to visit, and since I got no response, which was very unusual, I started looking on-line and found this obituary. I am in total shock. She was a great friend. I will truly miss her. My deepest sympathy and condolences to her family.

I am a classmate of Barbara's from York High School. Recently we had been getting together over lunch with a few of the friends periodically, since our high school. We all shared church membership at St Peters in Elmhurst in our youth. We were confirmands together. Barbara was a lovely caring woman. This has taken her girlfriends completely by surprise. We were actively anticipating our next luncheon get together in this new year. My deepest sympathies and condolences to her family. You have lost a fine person whom her friends deeply appreciated. My prayers are with you.
