Barbara Bromley Obituary
Barbara J. Bromley nee Johnson, age 84, of Lombard, passed away on June 13, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 17, 2015, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Services were held Wednesday, with Mrs. Bromley lying-in-state from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m., at Faith United Methodist Church, 815 S. Finley, Lombard. Interment followed at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Bromley is survived by her five children, Rebecca R. Hernandez of Lombard, Bethany B. (Richard P. Row) Bromley of Glen Ellyn, Christine J. (Michael T.) of Lombard, Craig W. Bromley of Lombard, and Jennifer R. (Melvin Kennett) Bromley of Oglesby; six grandchildren, Wayne (Niki) Hernandez, Angela L. Olson, David Hernandez, Bobby C. (fianc Stacey Winborn) Hernandez, Jamie L. (Jonathan Levins) Jones, Robert A. Jones; four great- grandchildren, Caprice A. Hernandez, Alexa Hernandez, Warren Ray Olson, and Isaac Ray Jones; her sister, Marjorie (Tony) Lang of Willowbrook; and her brother-in-law, James (Juanita) Bromley of Lombard.
Mrs. Bromley is preceded in death by her husband, Ray W.; and her grandson, Warren R. Olson Jr.
Mrs. Bromley grew up in Oak Park and graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School. She was a resident of Lombard for 47 years.
Mrs. Bromley was active in the VFW Auxiliary in Lombard and Faith United Methodist Church. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and a former member of the Faith United Methodist Women.
