Audrey Hoy Obituary

Former resident of Downers Grove, last resided in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Born in Chicago to Charles and Edna Matias. Graduated from Downers Grove North High School and played the clarinet in the band, where she met first husband, Ronald H. Grant.
Audrey's last occupation was managing Zabler Jewelers in Downers Grove.
Audrey loved her dogs throughout her life, Charlie, Jake, Shelby and Sammy. She loved the Cubs, as she watched every game.
She began as a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where she raised her children, and then was a member of Christ Church of Oak Brook and played in the handbell choir.
Survived by husband, Lowell Hoy (Oak Brook, IL) Daughter, Debra Grant Whitmer Olmstead (Eldon), Granddaughter's -Sara Maria Grant, Amanda Lee Whitmer Biliskis(Brian),and Abby Lane Whitmer.
Great-Grandchildren, Sofia Kroushl, Jacob Kroushl, Vivian Audrey Biliskis, and William Vincent Biliskis.
Predeceased by Dr. Ronald H. Grant , D. C. (1st husband), Ronald H. Grant, Jr., (son).
An open Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church, 31st and York, Oak Brook, IL on July 15 (her son's birthday) at 10:30am in the sanctuary.
Audrey always said that she would want on her epitaph to read that, "She was always there…" and she was. Her family wants her to know that "She will always be here…with us".

I don't think there was ever a time I saw Audrey without a warm smile. She was a presence, too. When she walked down the center aisle to the first pew at church, you noticed her. She was always elegant and beautiful.

My memories of beautiful Audrey are forever a part of my childhood- church picnics, Riverview trips, birthday parties-all with smiling Audrey enjoying every minute. She is, & will always be, thought of with love.
