Arvo Taliste Obituary
Arvo Taliste, born in Tallinn, Estonia, June 23, 1924, immigrated to the United States in 1950, became a naturalized citizen in 1958. Full time resident of Downers Grove, IL, since 1965.
Worked at Automatic Electric, division of GTE, as well as part time engineering consultant after retirement. He was also a member and chairman of the First Estonian Lutheran Church of Chicago; as well as fraternity member of Ugala Fraternity.
He is survived by his youngest daughter, Ingrid Bakken of Downers Grove; his brother, Hillar Taliste; and sister-in-law, Alma, of Montgomery, IL. 8 grandchildren and their families, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 nieces and their families.
He requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
Memorial Service to be held at Toon Funeral Home, Downers Grove, have yet to be finalized.
